Appalachian Power (APCO) is a subsidiary of American Electric Power (AEP), which is one of the largest electric utilities in the United States.
APCO serves about one million customers in parts of central and Southern West Virginia, Southwest Virginia and parts of Northeast Tennessee, specifically Kingsport. Cities in the Appalachian Power service territory include Wheeling, Charleston and Huntington, West Virginia; Roanoke, Virginia and Kingsport.
